A Step to Living Out Our Dreams

What is awaiting behind the door?
Packing and cleaning!  Not something I really love to do!  But it is something that needs to be done if we are planning on taking our family of 5 and move into our less then perfect RV for the summer! Yes, this is kind of a big step for us as we prepare to leave for up north and leave our 3 bedroom 1200 hundred square feet  cozy home for our less then 200 square foot trailer.  Trying to downsize in clothes has been my biggest challenge.  As I go through all of our clothes I realize that I am border line hoarding clothing!  Especially for the kids.  A few garbage bags to Goodwill and I still have the drawers stuffed full.   Five bins is what I am taking up to the RV and I am thinking where I am I going to put it all?  Then there are the toys, and boy do we have toys!  I am not even going to really tackle them.  A bin of trains, barbies and lego will have to do, and the kids are going to have to learn to play outside with nature's toys (sticks, leaves, and stones).

The van is already looking full and I have so much more stuff to fit in! What about the whole reason we are going up here? Well there are a few reasons, but a big reason is to follow after dreams in our heart.  We are wanting more time to create.  The RV is our biggest project for the summer as it is still back in the 1970's.  I also hope to finish my book and make more creations for Funtastical Studios.  Steve hopes to write some music  and do some of his crazy doodle art.  The kids, they just naturally create, so a must take is the craft bag (full of glue, scissors, markers, paper, and crayons).

We are also hoping to have some time where we can live a little more simply. We are grateful for all that we have, but in all the stuff and busyness, life can feel a little overwhelming at times.  Our kids have so much and we want them to be grateful for what they have.  So we are praying that the time up at the RV will be good for them as we live a little more simple.  Plus, when we return in a few months my house is going to feel huge to me!  Who knows, maybe even too big!  There is something about being outside and enjoying the great outdoors.  So we invite you to join us in our journey of living up at the RV as we live out what is inside of us!
